About Arleen Tello, AMFT
Arleen Tello is an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist at Lumen Health with two decades of experience supporting individuals affected by substance use disorder, addiction, and emotional challenges. After years of working in addiction treatment, she expanded her education to deepen her understanding of mental health and broaden the ways she can support clients on their journey toward healing. Her passion for this work is evident—she loves what she does and brings warmth, dedication, and genuine care to every session.
Arleen’s therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that clients hold the inner wisdom needed to grow, heal, and transform. She uses a client-centered, empowering style that encourages self-awareness, self-discovery, and mindfulness. Her work integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Motivational Interviewing to help clients uncover practical strategies, shift unhelpful patterns, and build healthier relationships with themselves and others.
She has extensive experience supporting clients through substance use and addiction, anxiety, depression, anger management, childhood trauma, abandonment wounds, relationship challenges, communication struggles, life skills development, forgiveness work, and grief and loss. Arleen creates a supportive environment where individuals can explore difficult emotions, understand the roots of their experiences, and gain tools for lasting change.
Above all, her goal is to offer encouragement, education, and steady guidance as clients discover healthier ways of living—one step, and sometimes one skip, at a time.
